During the spring of 2019, we began to create a new work based on Harry Martinson’s long suite of poems, “Aniara”. In our adaptation of Aniara, we chose the poems that depict the female pilot Isagel.
Since her debut in the late 1990s, Icelandic pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs has released twelve albums, praised by critics worldwide. Over the years, she has played in ensembles of various kinds at prestigious festivals around North America and Europe. In 2015 and 2019, she won the award "Performer of the year". More recently, she has also composed music for TV and film.
