SUMMARY:OPENING OF GÖTEBORG ART SOUNDS 2024!
DESCRIPTION:Although the festival will have started with some great collaboration concerts already the week before\, we wanted to take this opportunity to create a gathering for everybody interested in contemporary\, electronic\, experimental and improvised music \nThe Opening of Göteborg Art Sounds will be a unique chance to meet the festival’s new artistic directors: Stefan Klaverdal [SE] and Clara de Asís [ES/ NL]! There will be concerts with amazing Per Herman Jonsson och Dexter Diestro Esporlas from the Academy of Music! \nThere will be speeches\, mingle\, music\, snacks and drinks! \nThe theme of Göteborg Art Sounds 2024 is “REFLECTIONS” and we invite you to celebrate and reflect about new music with us! The restaurant Husette next door will also be open for anybody who wants something to eat. At 19.30 we are moving over to Paviljong 8 to take part in BrÖtz’s concert\, arranged in collaboration with Göteborg Art Sounds. \n  \nOpening schedule: \n17.30 – Doors open \n18.00 – 18.15 Artistic Directors Welcome Speech \n18.15 – 18.45 – Concert with Per Herman Jonsson & Dexter Diestro Esporlas \n18.45 – 19.20 – Mingle \n  \nAbout the concert with Per Herman Jonsson & Dexter Diestro Esporlas \nBenny and Andersson perform “Benny & Ivory” in an acoustic recording of “Benny & Ivory”. \nText\, music and melody imagined by Benny and Andersson – a trio\, partly founded on January 14\, 1956\, consisting of Benny and Andersson. \nEarplugs or other hearing protection is recommended\, and will be available on site for the concert.  \n  \nTicket information: \nThere is a maximum of 60 people allowed in Gröna rummet. SUMMARY:BrÖtz no. 907 — Ericson Klapper Fite + Perkis Raskin Sandell
DESCRIPTION:Ericson Klapper Fite: \nSture Ericson – saxophones\nMartin Klapper – amplified objects\, electronics\nNiklas FIte – guitar\, banjo \nMartin Klapper was already on the field in the 90s when he participated in the legendary Company Weeks organized by Derek Bailey. Among his many collaborations\, the duo with Roger Turner stands out as one of the most important – “Resourceful\, these fellows – aren’t they”\, as the same Bailey said of them with a typical British understatement. \nNiklas Fite is the newest acquaintance on the scene\, and those who haven’t had the pleasure of hearing his way of tuning his vintage Epiphone guitar from the 40s can only rejoice. Fite is already well versed and has\, among other things\, played with Sven-Åke Johansson\, Tristan Honsinger\, Roger Turner and Isak Hedtjärn. \nSture Ericson is a well-known voice both in Copenhagen and internationally\, for example in groups such as The Electrics (with Axel Dörner\, Joe Williamson and Raymond Strid) and the new Bagman (with Pat Thomas and Raymond Strid) he coaxes both known and unknown sounds out of his saxophones. \n::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: \nPerkis Raskin Sandell: \nTim Perkis – electronics\nJon Raskin – saxophone\nSten Sandell – piano \nTim Perkis is a renowned electronic musician from the USA now living in Gothenburg who has invited his good friend Jon Raskin from San Francisco. \nRaskin is known\, among other things\, for his many years of work with the world-famous saxophone quartet Rova from California. \nSten Sandell\, one of Sweden’s most internationally known free improv musicians\, is coming down from Stockholm for this exclusive meeting/concert! \n  \nTicket information: \nTickets: 120 SEK\, swish or cash at the door. Music students are welcome for free!  \n  \nThe concert is presented by BrÖtz in collaboration with Göteborg Art Sounds.
