SUMMARY:Vida Vojić + Bohuslän Big Bang
DESCRIPTION:In this 35 minute drum/voice solo by Vida Vojić\, inspired by celestial gods – the Gnostic poem “The Thunder\, Perfect Mind” (2nd-4th century AD) is recited as well as buttery pop music and Swedish folk songs. By exploring numerology\, sacred patterns\, chaos / order – the aim is to trigger physical vibrations\, thus inducing a hypnotic state in the audience. Sprung from the desire to tell an alternative story\, which ultimately may not be heard on top of the surrounding chaos – but rather felt. \nWarning: High volume \nVida Vojić is a music artist\, performance artist and poet from Gothenburg. Her current work focuses on drumming as a means of amplifying impressions\, triggering physical vibrations and awakening alternative states. In combination with this\, her vocal\, scenographic and poetic expression is a constant exploration in theology\, decolonialism\, posthumanism\, alternative conceptions of time and the nature of change. \nIn addition\, the local music collective Bohuslän Big Bang will play new music for instruments built from scrap and found gadgets.
